Zipper model 90cm
This 90 cm-long model of the Zipper was built to 1/6th scale.
A faithful replica of the famous "speed boat", this model is entirely handcrafted from noble materials: genuine wood and marine upholstery. All fittings are in chromed brass, custom-made by jewelers. More than a thousand brass points are hand-laid on the hull.
Finally, 10 coats of varnish are applied to achieve excellent gloss and varnish depth.

ZIPPER illustrates the sobriety and elegance of the competition runabouts of the 20s and 30s.
Its planing hull with angled sides is designed to increase speed and improve stability in tight turns.
Note the 2 small tandem cockpits on this unusual racer. Racing regulations having opened up competition to the 225 class with just one person on board, the architect has placed the cockpits one behind the other, and the second can be closed for competition purposes using a canvas.
